We’re happy to current the most recent Commentaries on Non-public Worldwide Legislation (Vol. 7, Concern 1), the e-newsletter of the American Society of Worldwide Legislation (ASIL) Non-public Worldwide Legislation Curiosity Group (PILIG).

The first goal of our e-newsletter is to speak international information on PIL. Accordingly, the e-newsletter makes an attempt to transmit data on new developments on PIL moderately than present substantive evaluation, in a non-exclusive method, with a view of offering particular and concise data that our readers can use of their day by day work. These updates on developments on PIL might embrace data on new legal guidelines, guidelines, and rules; new judicial and arbitral choices; new treaties and conventions; new scholarly work; new conferences; proposed new items of laws; and the like.

This concern has two sections. Part one incorporates Highlights on the oblique jurisdiction in India, an modification to the Chinese language Civil Procedural Legislation, the James Finlay (Kenya) Ltd litigation in the UK, and a assessment of the event of PIL within the US and past within the yr of 2023. Part two experiences on the current developments on PIL in Africa, Asia, Europe, North America, Oceania, and South America from June 2023 to June 2024.

We categorical our honest appreciation to our 2024 editorial staff, which consists of 20 editors from world wide. The chief editors are PILIG Co-Chairs Jie (Jeanne) Huang (College of Sydney Legislation College, Australia) and George Tian (College of Know-how Sydney Legislation College, Australia).
