“On 12 January 2026, ELI Fellows formally accredited its Enhancing Little one Safety: Personal Worldwide Regulation on Filiation and the European Fee’s Proposal COM/2022/695 closing.
This Report, developed below the management of Dr Ilaria Pretelli and Prof Dr Susanne Gössl, examines the above proposal and its essential position in advancing elementary rights throughout the EU. Whereas preserving the Fee’s Proposal’s core imaginative and prescient and framework, this evaluation recommends strategic refinements that strengthen alignment with the present EU acquis, foster deeper European integration, and improve the safety of kids’s elementary rights. As well as, it expands upon the Proposal’s preliminary emphasis on the EU Methods for youngsters’s rights and LGBTIQ+ equality by incorporating a complete ladies’s rights perspective.
