Seattle law enforcement officials arrested a 52-year-old man with an assault warrant, armed with a knife, within the Chinatown-Worldwide District this morning.
At about 1:20 a.m., a patrol officer noticed the suspect within the 600 block of fifth Avenue, “concealing what seemed to be a set blade knife in a self-made sheath on his hip,” in response to the police report. The suspect tried to hide the weapon whereas strolling away.
Police detained the person for questioning and located that he had a $5,000 warrant for assault. They arrested him for the warrant and furtively carrying a harmful weapon.
Officers booked the suspect into the King County Jail.
