Tragedy averted: Chicago cops intercept angry student with loaded gun outside Foreman Career and College Academy

CHICAGO — Chicago law enforcement officials might have stopped a tragedy from unfolding at a Northwest Aspect highschool on Friday afternoon: A troubled scholar who threatened to shoot up the college as he left campus was arrested by cops who allegedly noticed him ditch a loaded firearm straight outdoors the college grounds.

At about 1:50 p.m., officers at Foreman School and Profession Academy, 3235 North Leclaire, notified police {that a} 17-year-old scholar had left in an Uber, saying he was going to return again with an AR-15 to shoot up the college, based on preliminary data given to responding officers.

Cops in a close-by police district went to the boy’s residence whereas different officers responded to the college.
