Seattle cops assigned to the Group Response Group (CRG) arrested an armed felon throughout a drug bust in Belltown final night time.
On Aug. 6 at about 8:00 p.m., CRG officers, conducting narcotics operations within the 200 block of Blanchard Avenue, noticed a suspect dealing medicine. In response to the police report, they “noticed a hand-to-hand transaction the place the suspect traded narcotics for forex.”
CRG shortly arrested the 42-year-old man. Throughout his arrest, officers recovered:
3.5g Crack Cocaine
0.1g Fentanyl
7.5g Morphine capsules
Handgun
$80 money
CRG booked the suspect into King County Jail for Illegal Possession of a Firearm, and Sale and Supply of Managed Substance.
The suspect, a convicted felon on federal probation, is prohibited from carrying firearms. Detectives within the Narcotics Unit are assigned to this case.
