Pakistan’s World Industrial and Defence Options (GIDS) formally unveiled theSMASH – designated as a “Hypersonic Anti-Ship Ballistic Missile” (ASBM) – at the2026 World Protection Present, which not too long ago concluded in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The SMASH is being marketed as a dual-role guided munition for anti-ship and land-attack missions, drawing on the land-based 600 mm Fatah-2 guided rocket system inducted by the Pakistan Military.
The SMASH includes a terminal-stage energetic radar-homing (ARH) seeker, tightened accuracy, and structural adjustments suited to shipboard launch.
