Man put on probation for sneaking into neighbors’ homes to smell their shoes

He needed to place himself of their sneakers — actually.

A person in Greece was given a suspended one-month jail sentence for sneaking into his neighbors’ houses at evening and smelling their sneakers.

The 28-year-old sniffer, who informed the Thessaloniki courtroom he couldn’t clarify his foot fetish, was in essence placed on probation and ordered to hunt remedy.

He went on to elucidate that the weird act did trigger him loads of embarrassment — and it was not his intention to hurt anybody or break the regulation.

Neighbors testified to the truth that he by no means confirmed any indicators of hostile habits.

The perpetrator was arrested in Sindos, about 9 miles west of Thessaloniki in northern Greece on the early morning of Oct. 8.

A neighbor, who had left his household’s sneakers outdoors his home so they may air out, discovered the person sniffing them.

This wasn’t the primary time he had been caught within the act.

Up to now six months, three related incidents occurred, regardless that neighbors had requested the person’s household to intervene and get him to cease sniffing their footwear.
