CHICAGO — No less than one man is in custody after a person was shot and killed outdoors the UIC-Halsted Blue Line station on Saturday night.
The sufferer, 61, was discovered on the pedestrian bridge above the station within the 400 block of South Peoria round 6:04 p.m. He suffered a gunshot wound to his head and was pronounced useless at 6:37 p.m.
Officers from the College of Illinois-Chicago Police Division detained a person close by, and a gun was recovered from the person’s bag, in response to CPD radio visitors. An officer who reviewed surveillance video mentioned it confirmed two individuals who seemed to be CTA workers or contractors speaking with the gunman who then shot one in all them within the head. Investigators had been working to find out if the sufferer was working for the CTA.
The police discovered greater than a dozen shell casings close to the sufferer’s physique.
It is a growing story that will likely be up to date as extra data turns into obtainable.
