Man broke windows at Ravenswood tavern 3x while on pretrial release for similar allegations, prosecutors say

CHICAGO — A person is charged with breaking home windows at a Ravenswood tavern 3 times whereas on pretrial launch for allegedly breaking the window of a neighboring bar and stealing furnishings from outdoors close by properties.

Courtroom data present that Glenn Gerich, 58, repeatedly skipped courtroom within the pending case and continued to skip courtroom even after being arrested on failure to seem warrants.

In late Could, prosecutors charged him with two counts of felony theft and misdemeanor felony harm to property for 3 separate incidents. Based on courtroom data, he was accused of stealing outside furnishings from a house within the 4400 block of North Hermitage, stealing a patio desk from a home on the following block up, and throwing a brick by the window of Ravenswood Tavern, 1829 West Montrose.

Ald. Matt Martin (forty seventh) stated in an e mail that Gerich had been “throwing rocks by home windows and harassing patrons” for 2 weeks. Video footage helped police construct their case, in response to the alderman.
