CHICAGO — A high-ranking member of the Chicago Police Division has been demoted and relieved of his police powers after being charged with damaging a citizen’s automobile throughout this 12 months’s Puerto Rican Fest in Humboldt Park, in line with info supplied by legislation enforcement sources and a CPD spokesperson.

The spokesperson stated that Nieves, the 53-year-old Deputy Chief of Space 5, and Officer Jacob Gies, 26, surrendered on the Central (1st) District station on Thursday to face misdemeanor costs.
