Conference on Rethinking Jurisdiction in Private International Law (1 & 2 August 2024 @ CUHK)

CUHK LAW will host a world convention on personal worldwide legislation from August 1, 2024, to August 2, 2024.

 

Theme

The theme of the convention is “Rethinking Jurisdiction in Personal Worldwide Legislation.” Jurisdiction is a broad idea in personal worldwide legislation that features legislative, judicial, and enforcement elements. Over the previous few years, there have been important developments within the space of jurisdiction throughout numerous nations. These developments, whereas rooted in nationwide legislation, have in depth cross-border impacts. Moreover, the HCCH Jurisdiction Challenge has engaged many nations in specializing in jurisdictional points and looking for to harmonize jurisdictional conflicts. This convention provides a discussion board for teachers and practitioners to rethink and change concepts on the evolving new options of “jurisdiction” within the context of personal worldwide legislation.

This convention is supported by Hitotsubashi College.

Venue:

The Convention will likely be held on the Cheng Yu Tung Constructing (CYT) which is situated in Sha Tin, Hong Kong.

Tackle:LT1A, 1/F, Cheng Yu Tung Constructing (CYT), The Chinese language College of Hong Kong (Map)

Transportation:MTR: Get off on the College Station. CYT Constructing is simply 1-minute stroll away from Exit B.

 

Languages:

The primary day will likely be carried out in English, whereas the second day will primarily be in Mandarin Chinese language. Attendees are welcome to take part in periods on each days.
