CBP Launches New Forced Labor Portal  | Customs & International Trade Law Blog


On January 21, 2026, Customs and Border Safety (CBP) launched its new Compelled Labor Portal. The Portal offers a central system for submitting evaluate requests for shipments detained or excluded for compelled labor enforcement.

Efficient, January 21, 2026, importers MUST use the portal to submit the next for evaluate:

Withhold Launch Order/Discovering admissibility opinions.
Uyghur Compelled Labor Prevention Act applicability opinions.
Uyghur Compelled Labor Prevention Act requests for exception; and
Countering America’s Adversaries By way of Sanctions Act exception requests.

All detained or excluded shipments requiring evaluate should be submitted via this Portal, and customers will need to have a login.gov account to entry it.
