Sizzling on the heels of the publication of the proceedings of the fifth PIL Early Profession Researchers’ Convention, the organizers of the sixth convention have simply revealed the Name for Papers (German model).
The convention will happen on 9 and 10 April 2027 on the Ludwig Maximilian College of Munich beneath the title ‘Crises in PIL – Crises of PIL’, which the organizers introduce as follows:
We live in an age of polycrisis: battle and environmental destruction are forcing 1000’s upon 1000’s to flee; rising social inequality and the focus of financial energy are undermining social cohesion; political polarization and the rise of renationalization threaten the challenge of European integration and worldwide cooperation. At our convention, we goal to discover the implications of those crises for personal worldwide legislation (PIL). What new questions do the political, social, financial, and ecological crises of our time increase for PIL? How does PIL contribute to disaster administration, or, conversely, to the exacerbation of crises? And would possibly the self-discipline of PIL itself be in disaster?
