It’s clear that curiosity in ladies’s sport continues to develop, with the business estimated to achieve £1 billion in 2024[1]. However, many ladies nonetheless face important boundaries to participation in sport.
On 5 March 2024, the Ladies and Equalities Committee (WEC) of the UK Parliament revealed a report[2] on the well being and physiological boundaries to sport confronted by ladies all through their life (the Report). The Report was based mostly partially on oral proof that the WEC collected from a panel of witnesses between June to November 2023, consisting of retired sportswomen (with backgrounds in biking, netball, rowing, and rugby), nationwide governing our bodies resembling England Netball and England Hockey, key organisations together with UK Sport and Sport England, and consultants in ladies’s well being and health[3].
