Reminder! Three Upcoming USTR Filing Deadlines | Customs & International Trade Law Blog


This month, the US Commerce Consultant (USTR) introduced it’s searching for feedback from the general public and commerce neighborhood on three initiatives: (i) extension of 301 exclusions; (ii) the Nationwide Commerce Estimate Report on International Commerce Limitations, and (iii) joint Overview of USMCA.

Extending 301 Exclusions

There are at present 178 efficient exclusions within the Part 301 investigation of China’s acts, insurance policies, and practices associated to know-how switch, mental property, and innovation. Joint Overview of USMCA

Article 34.7 of the US Mexico Canada Settlement (USMCA) requires authorities representatives from the three international locations to fulfill on the sixth anniversary of the settlement (July 1, 2026) to conduct a Joint Overview of the operation of the Settlement. Forward of this assembly, the USTR is searching for enter from the general public and commerce neighborhood upfront of the joint evaluation.
