Seattle police arrested a 46-year-old man for arson following a West Seattle encampment hearth throughout the road from the Southwest police precinct.
At about 7:30 a.m., a patrol officer witnessed the person exit his automobile, a white 2006 Ford Econoline van, with a fuel can and stroll to an encampment throughout the road from the precinct. He returned to his automobile a short while later, and the encampment grew to become engulfed in flames.
In response to the police report, the officer noticed him “strolling out of the comb with smoke and hearth trailing him.”
The Seattle Fireplace Division extinguished the flames. No accidents or fatalities occurred.
Police situated the person driving the van at Delridge Manner Southwest and Southwest Orchard Road and arrested him. Officers booked him into the King County Jail for Arson 1st Diploma.
The Arson-Bomb Squad (ABS) responded to the scene for processing and proof assortment. ABS detectives will likely be assigned to this case for follow-up investigation.
