Background on AD/CVD Investigations 

 Antidumping obligation (“AD”) and countervailing obligation (“CVD”) investigations are introduced collectively by the U.S. Worldwide Commerce Fee (“USITC”) and the U.S. Division of Commerce (“Commerce”). AD investigations are triggered when a home trade alleges that it has been injured by competing imports of specific items from particular nations being offered at lower than a good worth.
