Sadly for Torres, he left his backpack behind and it contained his driver’s license, bearing his title and present tackle, a Chicago police report stated.

Later the identical day, Torres known as police to report being robbed of the backpack within the 5600 block of North Ridge, officers stated. A cop who reviewed video from the place the theft allegedly occurred discovered nothing to point a criminal offense occurred. They didn’t even see Torres on the footage, the police report stated.

Final April, Torres pleaded responsible to burglarizing a house within the 1900 block of North Albany in trade for a sentence of 4 years probation from Decide Michael Hood, in accordance with courtroom data.

These data present his prolonged historical past features a 13-year sentence for seven robberies in 2010; 13 years for armed violence and possessing a stolen automobile and theft and carjacking in 1997; and a five-year sentence for possessing a stolen automotive in 1995.

Calling Torres a “multi-time convicted felon,” prosecutors requested Decide Antara Rivera to maintain him in jail pending trial. Rivera agreed.
