CHICAGO — An 18-year-old girl is going through first-degree homicide fees, accused of angrily firing a single shot following a visitors crash, killing the driving force of the opposite automobile. Aaliyah Cain is being detained pending trial.
Prosecutors say she was a passenger in a automobile occupied by three different individuals when her driver struck a car being pushed by 47-year-old Mychal Evans within the 10500 block of South State late on July 6, 2024.
The collision immobilized the automobile she was in, prosecutors stated. She and her three companions all stepped out of the car. Probably feeling threatened, Evans pulled a U-turn to flee the scene.
At that time, Cain allegedly took out a gun and fired one bullet, which struck Evans within the higher left aspect of his chest. He died a short while later.
Choose James Murphy ordered Cain’s detention. He stated the opposite three individuals who have been within the automobile recognized her because the shooter. Her telephone information, video footage, and her personal admissions positioned her on the scene, in accordance with Murphy’s detention order.
