The Fairfax County Police have had 4 homicide circumstances (with defendants charged and dealing with trials) to this point in 2026. In three of these 4 circumstances, the suspects are unlawful immigrants. Fairfax County usually sees 12–13 homicides per 12 months.

Abdul Jalloh (Sierra Leonean nationwide, unlawful immigrant with 30+ prior arrests) — charged with second-degree homicide within the February 2026 stabbing demise of Stephanie Minter at a bus cease in Hybla Valley. 

Misael Lopez Gomez (Guatemalan nationwide, unlawful immigrant) — charged with second-degree homicide and baby abuse within the killing of his 3-month-old daughter.

Anibal Armando Chavarria Muy (Guatemalan nationwide, unlawful immigrant) — charged with second-degree homicide in a deadly stabbing.
