15 women found sleeping on floor of bare Texas home were trafficked for ‘forced labor’: police



4 folks have been arrested in Texas for operating a “compelled labor” scheme from an unassuming residence on a quiet block, leaving neighbors surprised.

Fifteen girls had been discovered residing in a house in Princeton — about 45 miles northeast of downtown Dallas — following a welfare verify the place they had been compelled to sleep on the ground after they weren’t working, based on Fox 4 Information.

There was primarily no furnishings within the residence — simply blankets and a bunch of computer systems and different electronics, police mentioned in an announcement Monday.

The ladies had been reported to police by a pest management firm that was known as to the house for bedbugs, based on an affidavit obtained by the outlet.

Chandan Dasireddy, 24; Dwaraka Gunda, 31; Santhosh Katkoori, 31 — all of Melissa, Texas — and Anil Male, 37, of Prosper had been arrested in March and charged with human trafficking.

Police mentioned the ladies had been compelled to work for Katkoori and several other programming shell firms owned by him and his spouse, Gunda.

A search of the house revealed a number of laptops, cell telephones, printers and fraudulent paperwork. 

Investigators later discovered that the compelled labor operation included a number of areas in Princeton, Melissa and KcKinney with dozens of victims — together with grownup males. Extra electronics and paperwork had been seized from different areas.

Princeton Police Sgt. Carolyn Crawford informed Fox 4 that “over 100” folks had been concerned — greater than half of whom are victims.

“How we got here throughout this case was very distinctive,” Princeton Police Chief James Waters mentioned. “[Investigators] would unravel only a multitude of different clues and a mess of different scenes that was going on the market.”
